Welcome to manuscripts.vitragelibrary.org, a dedicated platform devoted to preserving and sharing ancient Digambar Jain manuscripts in digital form. After five years of dedicated work, we have made these invaluable resources available online for all to explore, reference, and study.
Our mission is to curate a vast collection of Digambar Jain manuscripts in multiple languages, such as Prakrit, Sanskrit, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and others. This platform is designed to make these diverse materials easily accessible to scholars, researchers, and spiritual seekers. While the focus is on sharing existing digital manuscripts, we are committed to continually expanding our library with new additions.
To maintain content quality, each manuscript undergoes review by Jain scholars before being published. However, we encourage users to assess the authenticity of the material themselves, as we cannot guarantee complete accuracy.
manuscripts.vitragelibrary.org is a non-commercial platform. The manuscripts are available solely for reading and research purposes, and downloading is not permitted. Our goal is to serve the community by preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Digambar Jainism.
Discover the profound spiritual heritage of Jainism through our digital library and join us in this ongoing endeavour of preservation and knowledge-sharing.
Our vision is to honour and preserve the rich legacy of Bhagwan Mahavir and the Acharyas who have shaped the spiritual foundation of Jainism through their timeless scriptures.
By safeguarding the wisdom passed down through centuries, we ensure that future generations can access these invaluable teachings.
For the past five years, we have dedicated ourselves to the digitalization of ancient texts, preserving over 5,000 manuscripts and 1,000 Taad Patra Shastras.
History is worth saving, and through this effort, we aim to protect and share the essence of our spiritual heritage with the world.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the many trusts and temples from across India who have generously supported our mission to preserve the rich heritage of Jainism. Your contributions, in the form of manuscripts and Taad Patra Shastras, have been invaluable in our efforts to digitalize and safeguard these ancient texts for future generations. Without your trust and cooperation, this monumental task would not have been possible.
